Well hello there! I’m Rachel Morrisroe.
I’m a writer of utterly bonkers picture books and middle-grade fiction. My debut picture book, How to Grow a Unicorn, gorgeously illustrated by the amazing Steven Lenton, and published by Puffin Books came out in September.
You can also find our work in The Puffin Book of Big Dreams. The Great Imaginarium is about a scientist called Herr Brain and his dog who invent a machine to make children’s dreams come true. I have lots of super exciting projects in the pipeline that I hope to be able to share with you really soon so please pop back for an update.
As well as tapping at my keyboard, I am an abstract artist and can often be found in my studio, covered in paint, listening to Kate Bush or Lady Gaga. You can see my artwork over on my website. I’m a mum to two wonderful humans, married to another wonderful human and we have a dachshund called Dottie Disco Dog.
My writing is represented by super-agent Lydia Silver at Darley Anderson Children’s Agency.
Thanks so much for taking a look.
